Nicole Rikos
Somatic Psychotherapist, Trauma Counsellor

Nicole is a certified somatic psychotherapist and trauma specialist counsellor who works with women from all stages of life. Her approach is body-oriented, trauma informed and attachment focused. She has in-depth experience in adverse childhood experiences and complex post-traumatic stress disorder.

 At the core of her practice, Nicole nurtures the therapeutic relationship, building a strong sense of safety and trust as the foundation for healing and growth. Nicole believes that lasting healing happens in the context of the therapeutic relationship by being attuned in the present moment.

Nicole creates a therapeutic space that is empathic and understanding. She holds compassionate space for self-inquiry and encourages her clients to develop new behaviours and ways of being that are self-led and authentic for them.

 Nicole loves how inclusive, creative, collaborative and gentle somatic work is. She is warm and intuitive and brings a wealth of professional and personal insight to her practice.

She offers appointments at Glebe Point Road Psychology on Thursdays and Fridays.

• Bachelor of Counselling (ACAP)

• Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy (ACAP)

Further Training:

Nicole is a certified somatic experiencing practitioner (SEP) and has studied broadly in the areas of trauma and neurobiology, yoga, somatics, movement and attachment psychology.
